JOY

Joy to the world the LORD is come!  CHRISTmas is coming........Jesus, the gift that you won't return.  May we be present in His presence this Christmas!  Below is a pic from the children's play at church.  So proud of my kids...Laine, Jena, & Jade had speaking parts and Jena sang a solo (check it out on our Shutterfly site http://fullhousefishin.shutterfly.com).  The message of the play was "It's better to give than receive."  I pray that will ring true in the heart of our family.

After reading the Christmas story from Luke tonight the question was asked, "Who from the story would you want to be?"  There are many admirable and unique character traits from all, yet my answer is Mary.  She was favored by God. Her heart was willing and her soul magnified the Lord.  Like Mary God, be born in me.  Lord, I offer myself to You, not always brave, not always together, but always willing, Lord that is my prayer.  Thank you God for the best gift of all, Jesus.  On this Christmas Eve, I love you most!  Joy to the world, the Savior reigns!

Farm Ready

Nothing like being on the farm! Rode through cow field with dad discussing our house plans; kids in the back of truck not sure whether to be scared or excited at the cattle approaching the vehicle! One helping Papa and the others jumping hay bales. Reminds me of the verse in Malachi 4:2, "But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings. And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture." Thank you God for calves, pasture, hay bales, all the joys of farm living.... We can't wait!

Sweet Reunion

We have been counting down the days til this weekend and boy was it sweet!  A weekend reunion with our best friends the Welch's.  Here we are at our annual Blue Tree Sunday School pumpkin carving hosted at the Tucker's home.  It was a great time of pumpkin carving, eating, fellowship, kids playing, and a hayride finale.  But the icing on the cake was when the Welch's arrived.  What a sweet reunion.  We enjoyed a great time catching up with one another and Celeste and Amelia were able to join us Friday morning for mother-daughter Bible study.

Getting ready for Bible Study:

Of course, we had our regular school day with Fury ball on Saturday, but fit in as much time as possible to spend with our company.  My sweet husband even offered to keep the kids (all 7) on Saturday evening so Celeste and I could go to dinner.  We took full advantage, invited another girlfriend and dined at Elements in Lyons.  Thanks honey!  Sunday came quickly and goodbyes as usual were sad but we are thanking God tonight for a reunion with our sweet friends and we look forward to the next visit.

Oh, I almost forgot......two other important moments this week:
Ridge was inducted into the Junior Honor Society at PCA!

Laine and Jena joined the signing team at church.  They signed their first song today.  It was beautiful!

The Public

It's official -- The Public Kitchen and Bar opened today in Savannah, Ga!  We were invited to the family and friends preview last night.  My brother, Jamie who has already made a name for himself with Local 11Ten, has outdone himself!  The decor is cozy and inviting and the menu selections --- well let's just say I can't wait to try them all!  There's even a Danny's Burger and Sandra's Chicken Salad, named after his greatest supporters, aka, my parents!  So next time you're in the downtown area head to the corner of Liberty and Bull to check this place out......

Go Dawgs!

Family fun at the GA Game in Athens!

It was Madison's first game and Jade enjoys time with his bud Peyton.

We were most excited to see Kaitlyn at the game!

And can you believe in that crowd of fans that Laine ran into her best friend, Ashton!

We sure hope to go "back" before the season ends!

Our Full House Family

Full House Story

Golden Isles Kingfish Classic

The name began with this boat ..... Ridge really wanted to kingfish with his dad yet I was not comfortable with him being on a boat all day in uncertain waters without me.  Ricky's response to me, "Why don't you fish with us?"  Not the question I was anticipating.  How would that even work with a 4 yr old and twins that were only 2 1/2.  Let me think about it was my response, the organizer and planner that I am had to figure all this out.  We didn't even have a boat much less a team - of course he didn't expect it to just be the three of us!  Next thing I know we're deciding on a name for our new 31 Contender.  "Full House" was the perfect fit.  And 6 years later it still sticks - our family is known as "Full House."  Well, the fishing only lasted two seasons, at least with mom on board.  I decided Ridge was experienced and brave enough to hang out with his dad without me.  Occasionally I find myself missing those early mornings bundled up hanging tight to Ridge on a bean bag!
